Cardiac Imaging
The working group focuses on development and clinical evaluation of new, innovative procedures and techniques in non-invasive cardiac imaging. The main focus of the working group is cardiac MRI and CT imaging.
Main focuses of the working group are:
- Evaluation of faster imaging techniques in cardiac MRI and evaluation of techniques for image acquisition in free breathing
- Further development of multiparametric cardiac MRI for improved diagnosis of cardiomyopathies (especially myocarditis)
- Determination of the prognostic value of cardiac MRI and cardiac CT for chronic cardiac diseases (e.g. valve diseases or cardiomyopathies)
- Evaluation of methods for the non-invasive diagnosis of relevant coronary heart disease (e.g. using CT-FFR or CT perfusion)
- Myocardial strain analysis in cardiac MRI and cardiac CT
